Now Enrolling for Wild Roots and Moon Caregiver and Me Forest School

Wild Roots Nature School offers a nurturing, play-based outdoor program for children ages 18 months–5 years and their caregivers. Through child-led exploration, seasonal rhythms, and meaningful time outdoors, families are invited to grow, learn, and connect together in nature.

Our seasonal, emergent curriculum is guided by children’s natural curiosity and sense of wonder. Rather than following rigid lesson plans, we observe, listen, and gently support learning as it unfolds through play and exploration. Nature becomes the classroom, offering authentic opportunities for social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
Each weekly session begins with families gathering at the deck or shelter before heading out to explore the land together. Our time includes a balanced flow of guided and child-led experiences:

Wild Roots Nature School is committed to being a thoughtful steward of the land at Wild Moon Acres. Every session models gratitude, responsibility, and care for the natural world.

Forest school supports both children and caregivers through meaningful time outdoors, shared discovery, and child-led exploration. Our approach nurtures confident children while creating space for families to slow down and connect.

We invite you to experience the magic of forest school at Wild Moon Acres. Our small-group sessions are designed to support connection, curiosity, and confident early learning.
