Brain (Hide) Tanning
An ancient practice of transforming animal hide into beautiful, soft leather. Using the whole animal is a respectful and sustainable practice for hunters and crafters alike. Be prepared to get messy, so wear clothes you don't care about.

Bring your own hide or sometimes we can provide for you. (ask hunters if they don't use the hide, many don't)
Bird Language
Discover the magical complexities of the bird world. Ancient hunters and trackers have relied on
learning the language of birds for centuries. They can tell us much of our surroundings; a nearby
predator, time of day, seasonal changes, and much more. Learn how in this world, silence speaks,
sound creates ripples, and every creature is in tune with these messages that seem hidden to us. Can you distinguish between a chickadee’s morning song, and a territorial dispute among robins?
Traditional Hunting
Not your average 'buddy's' approach to hunting. Whether it's deer, grouse, duck, or bear there is a way to approach the hunter and hunted relationship as a sacred bond. Through careful understanding of the animal and its environment, to practicing the art of asking and honoring the animals spirit before, during and after the process. Learn to walk as quiet as a fox, to see as far as an eagle, to conceal your presence like a wild cat, and remember what it feel like to be full of life.
Rabbit Snaring
Basic intro to trapping and catching animals on the land. Learn about animal behaviour; where do they live? What do they eat? Where do the sleep? What do they do when its cold? Good for homeschoolers, students, or those curious about the whole process.
Animal Tracking
Discover the hidden world of animals and how to decipher the story of what they leave behind. Where did the animal go? Why was it here? What was it eating? Walk in their shoes and begin to understand your part in the web of life.
Nature Walks
Free Nature walk for hosted around the province to inspire folks to get together and get outside in all weather. Marvel at our local natural spaces and see how truly blessed we are to live on this beautiful land.
